Annual Events

"And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."

Romans 8:28

The one certainty that no human can ignore, no matter their faith, is that time will always march on.  We can fight it, or we can embrace it.  Each year we are blessed to mark the passing of seasons with events in the life of our church family.  These events serve to strengthen our church family through fellowship and service to our community and church.  We hope that these events - and those yet to be - will bring us together in faith to shine our beacons as one light, one heart, one body in service to our God and King -- to shine in the darkness and spread the joy we receive from our Savior to those around us.

Easter Egg Hunt

Easter Egg Hunt

Each spring we commemorate the highs of Holy Week with an egg hunt and morning of fun for the whole family.  Held on Palm Sunday, we gather together between our normal services to share in fellowship while our children hunt for eggs, take pictures with the Easter Bunny, and hear the Easter Story.  Children ages 2-11 are welcome to join in the hunt and families are encouraged to explore what our church is about and share in light refreshments.

Our 2024 Egg Hunt will take place on March 24th, from 11:00-1:00 p.m.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School

Each year we are blessed to have the opportunity to celebrate God's word with the children of our community through Vacation Bible School.  This year, we will journey to ancient Babylon and follow Daniel as he trust God while being a captive in a foreign land.  Children will step back in time each day to experience what it was like living in an ancient city, follow believers as they keep their faith against all odds, and learn that God is always with them - no matter what - all without leaving our church campus.

There will be a special part of the service just for the younger ones, along with elements of the regular service.  If you enjoy the outdoors, this is the place for you!

Live Nativity

Live Nativity

**Postponed until 2024**

Join us in 2023 for the 13th annual multi-faith Live Nativity re-enactment "Journey to Bethlehem."  It is our gift to the people of Helotes and San Antonio and is held in Old Town Helotes.

The true meaning of Christmas began with the angel Gabriel's visit to Mary.  We invite you to come and share this special moment with your family and then make the journey as we follow Mary and Joseph to Bethlehem and see some of the important events unfold as they might have been so many years ago.

Imagine--sitting on your grandparent's lap, hearing the story...

Watch as Mary is surprised by Gabriel, and then as she and Joseph eventually set off for Bethlehem.

See the shepherds as they witness the multitude of angels announcing the Holy Birth.
Don't miss King Herod sending the three Kings to find the baby.
Gather at the manger to share and celebrate the birth of our Savior.

This year, make this wonderful event a part of your Christmas traditions.  Won’t you come celebrate and experience the true meaning of Christmas?

The 2023 Journey to Bethlehem Live Nativity has been postponed.  Please join us again in 2024.
