In addition, Aundar Maat is the co-owner of Melaneyes Media, an independent film company, and co-producers of the film series, Walk on the River; A Black History of Alamo City and Walk on the River 2.0: The African Influence in San Antonio. These films document the Black history of SA. Also, Melaneyes Media conducts Black history tours of SA. They offer bus tours, walking tours, and virtual tours exploring the city's heritage.
Furthermore, Aundar and Barbara are founding members and directors of the Pan-African Cultural Community, a 501(3)(c) non-profit organization. They organize community events and programs to promote African American cultural heritage. The Kwanzaa Market Festival, Pan-African Festival, Holistic Health Day, and Black History for Children book giveaways are some of their annual events.
