Woof. Less than a week after the new Indianapolis Animal Care Services facility officially opened, the shelter is already over capacity.
While we're glad that the pets in its care are reaping the benefits of a quieter, cleaner, more spacious temporary home — complete with indoor/outdoor dog pens and patios for adventurous cats — it's still just temporary.
The shelter said, "Our goal is not to simply house more animals — our goal is to provide humane, quality care for every animal while they are with us. While this building was designed with more space, space alone is not the solution. We need our community’s help."
If you've got space in your life for a new furry friend, check out adoptable animals. |
