$94 billion. That's the total economic impact of the Greenville Area Development Corp. (aka GADC) since its establishment in 2001.
During its annual meeting this week, a research economist from the University of South Carolina's Darla Moore School of Business highlighted the impact of the organization, which is tasked with recruiting industries to the county and fostering economic growth:- GADC has an $8.46 billion annual impact on Greenville County
- Greenville County has seen a 15% employment growth over the past five years (versus 12.4% statewide and 10.1% nationally)
CEO Max Stewart says talent and Greenvillians qualified to do the work are the driving factor to every new employer considering a move here. |

The Wrap
Today’s edition by: Danielle
I grew up visiting the Charles Schulz Museum in Santa Rosa, CA, where the Upcountry History Museum's new "Franklin" exhibit is from. When I most recently visited at the end of April, I was able to bring my husband for the first time.
If you're a fan of Snoopy or any of the "Peanuts" characters, this exhibit, if it's like any I've seen at its home museum, will be worth a visit. |
