“You go to work, you go home, you go here.”

That's how HUSTL founder Travis Tourville describes his vision for HUSTL Athletic Club, a new fitness and wellness space set to open in December on Barnwell Street, near the BullStreet District.

The 10,500-sqft facility is a one-stop shop for strength training, conditioning, yoga, Pilates, and recovery. But Tourville wants members to find more than a workout.

Inside the club

The main workout floor is divided into two areas featuring custom equipment from Lexington-based Sorinex, which has outfitted training facilities for pro teams and around the SEC.

After all that hard work, your body will need to recover. A dedicated lounge will feature heated reclining chairs, compression boots, percussion guns, and heated wraps.

The men's and women's locker rooms also offer perks. Each has a traditional dry sauna and a walk-in IceVault a few steps away that drops to ~36 degrees. No drying off necessary. The IceVault cools you down without the shock of an icy plunge.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is set for Thursday, Dec. 10 at 9:30 a.m.

A carnevil of sorts

Five Points is getting into the Halloween spirit, and businesses throughout the village are joining the fun with candy, creepy decorations, and a little CarnEvil chaos.

The month-long Haunting of Five Points has businesses and the fountain decked out with spooky storefronts and Halloween installations, with plenty of reasons to wander around and see what's lurking.

Two dates to mark on your Halloween calendar:
  • Sunday, Oct. 25 | Trick or Treat in Five Points | Bring the little ghouls out from 4 to 6 p.m. to trick-or-treat as businesses hand out candy and host Halloween activities, including Pluck a Pumpkin at the Fountain.
  • Thursday, Oct. 29 | CarnEvil of Fortunes | The Five Points Association is teaming up with Publico for a one-night-only celebration featuring stilt walkers, fortune tellers, clowns, and cocktails from 6 to 9 p.m.
